A focused, once-a-week acting class designed to give you balanced training in both stage and screen performance. Sessions alternate weekly, allowing you to develop the distinct techniques required for theatre and camera work.
Stage sessions focus on bravery and performance fundamentals. Through script analysis and exercises you will be introduced to core acting techniques drawn from Stanislavski and Uta Hagen, working practically with scenes from plays.
Screen sessions are designed to demystify working on camera and prepare actors for professional screen environments. Students will work on texts from screenplays, be filmed, watch the footage back as a group for guided feedback and sent the recordings afterwards.

Cost: £180 for six-weeks (£30 per session) + £6 payment charge (if paying online)

We will send any scripts that need to be learnt beforehand directly via email. Otherwise just bring yourselves and your good energy!

Each session will alternate between stage and screen work. We will play games, study texts and work on scenes. The sessions are curated to provide balanced training across both disciplines throughout the course.

We welcome observers for a one-off trial. However, if you would like to observe more than one class, there will be a £15 fee per session.

For Freshplate Sessions, we require full-term payment of £180 (£30 per session).
If you’re unable to attend some of the sessions, we can offer a discounted price on future sessions or a personal 1-to-1 session.

Unfortunately, we require payment for the full course upfront. This helps ensure that participants are committed to the entire 6-week programme and allows us to maintain a consistent group throughout the course.
